Two Saints Winery, is located 3 miles east of St. Charles, Iowa in the rolling hills of rural Warren County. It was here that we felt we could plant the grapes we needed to make quality wines from our Iowa grown grapes. Our first vineyard of 5 acres was planted in 2003 with more to follow. Construction on the winery, tasting room and banquet facility was completed in 2008.
We are proud to use our Iowa grapes to create quality Iowa wines without the influence from grapes or juices outside of Iowa. We hope you find our wines friendly to the palate and true to the flavors of the grapes used.
Our vineyard and facilities are easily accessed from a major interstate highway. We offer free wine tasting in our gift shop, feature other Iowa products such as cheeses and crafts, will hold music and other events on weekends and offer a large banquet area with, a friendly caterer kitchen and direct grade level access to parking areas. The facility is surround by a spacious viewing deck which overlooks the vineyard.
We invite you to come and enjoy a taste of Iowa in a relaxed countryside setting. |

About our wines…
Our goal is to create a quality Iowa Wine using only Iowa grapes in our product. Rest assured when you open a bottle of our wine you will be opening a bottle of true Iowa wine, not a wine blended with juice from New York, California or some foreign country. We take pride in being one of the few wineries in Iowa to make such a claim. You will not find Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay, Zinfandel or other vinifera grapes or names in our wine list nor in our wines. We support the concept that the wine should come from the region it’s grown. Why buy a California wine made in Iowa when you can experience one from Iowan grown grapes, with traditional but unique flavors to our climates and terroir.
We are not shy about promoting the grapes used in our wines. Many of our wines are single varietal wines and are aptly named by the grape used in the wine. No need for fancy names or the “fun” names here, just name the wine what it is. Exceptions to this would be our house blends. Want to know what varietals are in the blends, look at the back labels. It is our belief that calling an Iowa wine by its true varietal name or listing the wines used in the blend, will help assure the consumer that they are indeed buying an Iowa product from local growers
As a part of our commitment to making traditional wines, our focus is to adhere to making wines which can be enjoyed by the wine enthusiast. That means the wines need to age to a level of maturity suited for that wine. Our goal is to make a wine that offers a balance of alcohol, acid and tannins, to create a harmony of flavor, body and finish unique to that wine. Our wines range from dry to sweet, in both whites and reds. However, in the concept of traditional wines we feel the sweetness needs to be tied to balance and finish. They should not leave a sugary trail as they travel through the taste buds.
About our reds…
We take pride in offering traditional red wines, built on tannin structure, acid balance and finish. You can expect to find hints of oak, dark berry fruits and dry finishes on each of five distinctively different red wines.
About our whites…
Offering a wide choice of white wines, our whites will offer dry, vanilla & hints of oak in some wines and range up to sweet wines boasting of butterscotch, citrus and honey flavors. Look for a clean, crisp finish in our dry wines and a fruity soft finish on the sweeter ones.
Blush and blends…
Two Saints offers one Blush wine which provides that initial sweetness you may expect with a blush, but finishes with a nice tart cherry note. Our Trinity is a blend of a dry red and two whites, which gives you the best of both, a slight tannic structure combined with the fruitiness of two whites, look for strawberry and kiwi.
When purchasing an Iowa wine, be confident that our wines are made with grapes which have been hand-picked from our vineyard, or in some cases from another select Iowa vineyard which will meet our standards. They are handcrafted in small batches of 100 to 500 gallons using a blend of traditional and contemporary wine making techniques. Our goal is to provide the consumer a true bottle of pure Iowa wine and leave a finish on the palate to talk about!
