Our vineyard is located south of Des Moines between the towns of St. Mary’s and St. Charles. Our name, Two Saints, is derived from our location and our belief in the importance of place in our wine-making.
The first vines were planted
in April 2003 and then followed by additional vines in 2004. Our vines are typically French hybrids and American varities that are best suited for Iowa climates. Currently we have 10 acres of grapes with 10 major varietels and several other experimental varietels:
- Chambourcin
- Leon Millot
- Marechal Foch
- St. Vincent
- Steuben
- Edleweiss
- Espirit
|
- Chancellor
- Frontenac
- St. Pepin
- Seyval Blanc
- Traminette
- Noiret
